Are you ready to apply for a Habitat home?

STEP 1: Complete our Homeowner Eligibility Questionnaire

Complete the questionnaire online or in person at the Habitat office. Once complete the questionnaire, a team member will contact you within 5 business days to discuss your answers and the next steps. If you have any questions, please call our office at (207) 942-8977.

STEP 2:  Submit a full application

If you are eligible to apply for a Habitat home, we will review the next steps together and provide you with information about how to get in touch with our local banking partners. Habitat homebuyers undergo rigorous screening, including credit and background checks, employment verification, and landlord references.

If you did not meet current eligibility guidelines, don't worry! 

Our team will help identify any obstacles in your path to becoming a Habitat homeowner. We will refer to you agencies and organizations that can help you resolve those issues. Our community partners are available to help you repair your credit, organize your finances and resolve your emergency housing situations. Once those obstacles are removed, you are welcome to apply again.
